FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
May 13, 2003 - America II Electronics, Inc. has tapped Data Components, Ltd. to represent its sales operations and excess component management services in Israel. Data Components, Ltd. is a private joint venture company with Data-JCE Electronics, Ltd. (DJE) under the Nisko Group, a $370 million components distributor native to Israel.
The exclusive agreement between America II and Data Components, Ltd. was drawn when America II identified a need for its services in the Israeli electronics marketplace as part of its widening global strategy. Since 2000, America II has established physical operations in the UK, Mexico, Japan, Germany, Singapore, and Belgium.
The company's choice to enlist representation in Israel over establishing a physical plant was made upon considering the specific needs of the Israeli electronics marketplace. "Each market is unique," explains America II President Jim Magee, "and therefore the nature of the market determines whether we will establish a physical America II model there or employ representation such as we have chosen to do in Israel with Data Components, Ltd. There is much value in this type of representation as it is allowing us to fast-track our operations in a new location," Magee adds.
