America II's 9/11 Run raises funds for local Police, Fire organizations

SEPTEMBER 11, 2002 St. Petersburg, Fla. - While others light candles and attend community tributes, employees of America II Corp. will trek five kilometers down 28th Street North to 118th Avenue North in America II's 9/11 Memorial Run. Entry fees from 110 runners and walkers of all ranks and ages within the company, along with donations from over 70 of their co-workers, will be donated to the Police Athletic League and the Patterson Trust to benefit the St. Petersburg Police and St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue.

Opening ceremonies begin at 5:00 p.m. in the America II parking lot at 2500/2600 118th Avenue North. Mayor Rick Baker is scheduled to open the ceremonies where America II executives will present representatives of the Police Athletic League and the Patterson Trust with the company's donations.
