FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
America II Electronics names new Quality Assurance and Customer Service Manager
St. Petersburg, Fla. Wednesday, August 30 - Suzanne Fitzmaurice, who joined America II Electronics
in January of 2000 as quality coordinator, settles into a new position this week as the company's
quality assurance and customer service manager. In her new role, Fitzmaurice will draw on over a
decade of quality and consumer-related experience.
Before joining America II, Fitzmaurice served as the administrative coordinator for an electronics
manufacturing company in Tampa, Florida. Here, she spent three years developing policy and procedure,
ensuring compliance with ISO 9000 and other regulatory standards, planning and executing staff
training on the principles of quality management, and managing the company's human resources
functions. Fitzmaurice launched her career in quality in 1988 as director of quality assurance
with the Association for Retarded Citizens, Dutchess County, New York, where she established a
department to oversee regulatory compliance and staff training, built an internal audit system to
monitor compliance with federal and state regulations, and contributed to the creation of the
organization's total quality management program.
In her time at America II, Fitzmaurice has focused on ISO 9002 compliance issues,
policy development, statistical process control, and staff training on these and
other quality-related matters. With the new position, Fitzmaurice's responsibilities
will expand to include quality planning for the company's new warehouse acquisition
and expansion into new markets. In addition, Fitzmaurice will oversee America II's
customer service department and its supplier relations function, a position recently
created to enhance communication between America II and its vendors, and streamline
the return and corrective action processes. Fitzmaurice's appointment coincides with
the resignation of America II's former quality assurance and customer service manager,
Stephanie Stine, to pursue other opportunities. "The America II team had a strong
infrastructure in place when I came on board, and I'm looking forward to applying my
background to making this infrastructure even stronger - particularly in light of the
company's projected growth," Fitzmaurice offered.
