Michael Galinski jumpstarted his career in the electronics industry as an account executive with New York's Pulsar Components International. In 1984, he moved onto Quasar Components, International, to serve as president and CEO. Five years later, with a dream of establishing a successful distributorship in the integrated circuit market, Mr. Galinski moved to Clearwater, Fla., to build America II from conception to realization as one of the industry's leading independent distributors.
Since then, Mr. Galinski has made a trusted name for himself and his company through proven experience, impeccable knowledge of the semiconductor market and an ability to forecast market trends. Named Florida Entrepreneur of the Year by Inc. Magazine (1994), Mr. Galinski demonstrates instinctive business acumen and an open management style that continues to earn him distinction among industry professionals and employees alike.
As COO, Dan Bisaillon is responsible for directing all of America II's domestic and international semiconductor business as the company moves to expand its global market presence. Under his leadership, America II is positioned to build upon its success, providing a more responsive operating structure that supports the company goals of accelerating continuous improvement and ultimately driving even greater growth for America II. Mr. Bisaillon joined America II in 1998 as vice president of operations and CIO, before being named COO in November 2010.
Prior to America II, he served as vice president of operations for Dataflex Corp., a national computer reseller. In his 10-year tenure with Dataflex, his IT and communications direction laid the infrastructure for an IPO and multiplied revenues. Mr. Bisaillon also introduced a commerce-enabled website to the company and worked with its supplier base to develop supply chain optimization systems, which ultimately improved Dataflex's bottom line.
Prior to joining Dataflex, Mr. Bisaillon attained a B.A. in Business from the University of South Florida and gained experience in data processing management and as a programmer/analyst.
Britt Doughtie joined America II in September 2011 as the company's director of strategic development. He was promoted to vice president of finance and treasurer in April 2013. Mr. Doughtie is responsible for leading and managing all of America II’s finance, treasury and risk management activities, while also leading on certain strategic activities including mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Doughtie brings more than two decades of experience in the areas of corporate and project finance, business and financial analysis, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining America II, he served as senior investment officer at the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Program Office, corporate development director at Jabil Circuit, and director of international finance and investment management at TECO Guatemala. He also held additional positions in finance and international business development at other TECO Energy companies.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Doughtie worked as an underwriter at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and as a trade analyst at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
He earned a bachelor's degree in International Business from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree specializing in International Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Mike Pointer joined America II in 1995 and currently directs the company's legal and human resources functions. Prior to joining America II, Mr. Pointer represented the organization on employment matters while working for the labor and employment law firm of Zinober & McCrea, P.A. in Tampa, Fla.
Before relocating to Florida in 1993, Mr. Pointer gained a broad base of experience working in Washington, D.C., for one of the country's largest law firms, Kirkland & Ellis, P.A., and the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. He also had the distinction of serving as an appellate law clerk to the Honorable George E. MacKinnon, U.S. Court of Appeals, D.C. Circuit.
Mr. Pointer is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School (magna cum laude) and Oral Roberts University (summa cum laude).
Brian Ellison began his career in the electronics industry in 1990 after serving four years in the U.S. Army. Throughout the years, he held several positions at leading electronic franchise distribution companies. His roles included: field sales representative, strategic accounts manager, operations manager and regional manager.
Mr. Ellison joined America II in 2003, taking the position of EMS sales manager. In 2005, he was promoted to global accounts manager, supporting Tier 1 EMS customers. Success and growth in this position earned Mr. Ellison the Independent Distributor of the Year Award from one of the Tier 1 EMS customers in 2007. He was also awarded the America II Award of Excellence in that same year.
In 2008, Mr. Ellison earned a promotion to director of EMS Sales. In this role, he grew and developed the Global EMS Sales Department into a 20-person team, supporting sales and inventory supply chain solutions for EMS customers globally. Mr. Ellison then held the position of executive vice president and in June 2012 was promoted to president of America II Electronics.
Rick Kauchak joined America II in 1992 after serving two years in the U.S. Army. After working in distributor and OEM sales for three years, he was promoted to selling manager. Over the next few years, Mr. Kauchak maximized this role to enhance the selling capabilities of his team while continuing to conduct his own daily sales activities.
In 1998, Mr. Kauchak called on this experience to step into the position of the first non-selling manager and trainer where he engineered the America II University, the company's comprehensive training program. This positioned him as a mentor and manager to new America II personnel.
In 2001, Mr. Kauchak was promoted to director of OEM sales, a position he held for 11 years while also recruiting for the company and maintaining the America II University. Over this time, Mr. Kauchak continued to help develop and grow the company’s OEM/EMS division.
In August 2012, he was named vice president of sales, responsible for overseeing the entire America II inside sales team.
In 2001, Pat O'Brien brought more than 18 years of sales and strategic experience within the electronics industry to the newly created position of global director of supply chain solutions for America II.
After just one year of working with customers on a global basis to innovate ROI-focused excess inventory management solutions and leverage the sell-side of America II's business, Mr. O’Brien earned a promotion to vice president of global supply chain solutions. In that role, he oversaw the company's excess inventory management services, strategic sales and contract manufacturing partnerships.
In November 2011, Mr. O’Brien was named vice president of global strategic sales, the position he currently holds.
Jed Pecchioli joined America II in 2005 as global EMS account manager. He came to the company with 18 years' experience, holding various positions at leading franchise electronics distribution companies with roles including field sales representative and strategic accounts manager.
After six years of success at America II, Mr. Pecchioli was named vice president of Asia operations in October 2011. In this role, Mr. Pecchioli is responsible for driving sales and operations within the APAC region. His business philosophy is to "help others succeed". He does this by ensuring he has the right people in the right place. He identifies the needs of America II’s customers and suppliers, and provides solutions to those needs by executing strategies with a sense of urgency, quality and customer service.
In October 2013, Mr. Pecchioli was promoted to president of APAC and EMEA operations.
Mr. Pecchioli brings global customer and cultural experience — specifically within Asia, Mexico and Eastern Europe — to America II. He currently resides in Singapore with family.
Toshiharu Ban joined America II Japan as a representative of the Japan office in August 2007, with more than 19 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. His experience comes from having sales, FAE, marketing, business development and management positions within franchise distribution companies.
As a business development manager in 1996, Ban-san established a liaison office in California to develop startups and obtain new line cards with one of the biggest Japanese domestic franchises. Prior to that, Ban-san served as the general manager of ASSPs and ASIC products at PALTEK, a well-known technical-oriented distributor. During his tenure at PALTEK, he added several new lines, which brought $20 million in additional annual revenue within a year. In 2005, Ban-san was on the board of directors at Spinnaker Systems, which is one of the group companies of PALTEK.
Gill Tory began her career in the electronics industry as a distribution sales representative for National Semiconductor Corp. After her promotion to sales office manager, Ms. Tory accepted the position of distribution field sales engineer. In the field, Ms. Tory looked after National's distributor and customer base, creating new sales opportunities and introducing products throughout the UK.
After 10 years with National, Ms. Tory joined Avnet UK as product marketing manager for AMD and National. Later, as Avnet UK's Customer Service Manager, Ms. Tory guided the company to gaining recognition as one of the best service organizations in the industry. When Avnet UK united its inside sales and customer service forces, Ms. Tory was promoted to internal sales manager, placing all sales and service activities – as well as $110 million in semiconductors and passives – under her direction.
Ms. Tory joined America II Europe, Ltd. in November 1999. She assumes responsibility for building and maintaining the business through opening accounts and establishing a quality- and service-minded sales organization.
Esteban Polanco joined America II in May 2013 as strategic sales director for Mexico. In this role, he is responsible for leading all business conducted in Mexican territory.
During his 16 year career, Mr. Polanco has proven his leadership and business acumen, and he has gained an extensive knowledge of the Mexican electronics industry. Throughout his career he has held several positions within the electronics industry, including field sales manager for Mexico, business startup consultant, and global account manager. His main experience has been working within a leading electronic franchise distribution company that is part of the Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate.
Mr. Polanco majored in industrial engineering at Universidad Iberoamericana – Golfo Centro. He later went to earn an MSA from Central Michigan University.
Anton Wurr joined America II in November 2009 as director of marketing, reporting to CEO Michael Galinski. He joined the company after spending more than 10 years on the management team at a Florida-based Fortune 110 company.
With more than 18 years of experience in corporate marketing, Mr. Wurr is a creative professional who's passionate about branding and marketing while specializing in design, online marketing and ROI analysis.
Mr. Wurr leads the America II marketing department whose global responsibilities include marketing communications, print advertising, direct mail, online marketing, event planning, public relations, corporate communications, social media, branding and lead generation for the company's offices in the US, UK, Germany, China, Singapore and Japan.
